1st Annual Renovations Salon & Day Spa

10 Mile Walk for the Cure & Awareness

On Saturday, November 8, 2008 we'll be sponsoring a very special event. We'll walk 10 miles through beautiful Thurmont, Maryland – “The Gateway to the Mountains” to support breast cancer research and awareness. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research through Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and awareness through Feel Your Boobies®.

According to current studies, more than 200,000 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease. That’s why we're walking so far. To do something bold about breast cancer. We hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with us by supporting Renovations Salon & Day Spa in our fund-raising efforts.

We would like to raise at least $5,000 in donations. We know we could raise even more than that! So we need your help…

Here’s how you can help:

• You can make a donation at the shop.  We have cards and envelopes for your convenience.
• If you would like to register for the walk, please come in and fill out a registration form along with your fee and give it to one of our staff.
• If you would like a Pledge Form to try and collect some donations for us, please come by and ask one of our staff for one!
• If you would like to volunteer at the walk, please come by and fill out a registration form and check volunteer.
